November 2020 – For the Municipality of Amsterdam, Klimaatkantoor conducted a stakeholder analysis in the Centre District. The analysis focused on identifying the individuals and organisations that are central to the development of the city center of the future. Subsequently, the interests and perceptions of the relevant stakeholders were made explicit during a series of qualitative interviews. This lead to an advice about cooperation between the municipality, various organisations, the business community and local residents, which was included in the Inner City Transformation plan published December 2020 by Mayor Femke Halsema. The aim of the plan is to (re)transform the city center to a place where a high quality of life for residents and a sense of community are central, with more green public spaces, a more sustainable tourism flow and an increased economic diversity.
